| Sewing the sail |
For christmas David and I got a boat, so naturally we decided to attach a mast to it and go sailing. We made the mast out of a 4 by 4, and use old bedsheets (Star Wars (mine) and Dumbo (Davids)) for the sail. The Lady Dawnee was quite a sight to behold - tall enough to hit the power lines that crossed the road.

| Toasting a successful journey |
After we completed the construction of the boat, the next day we had a small boating party. Instead of breaking a bottle of champagne over the bow (didn't want to have to clean up the glass) we finished the last of our New Years drinks. We then took Lady Dawnee on her maiden voyage to Shupps pond, where she floated above the ice quite nicely.

| Shipwrecked |
At the pond Lady Dawnee capsized, and her mast and trailer where removed. The Lady Dawnee was then a speed boat, and it was lots of fun to sail her over the ground and try to capsize her in the snow. My elbow hurts from falling off.
Finally, the Lady Dawnee was shipwrecked when the tether rope came undone behind our house.
