Saturn Peaches

In our last planting of fruit trees (2008) we planted about six trees of the Saturn Peach.  This was the first time that I had ever had a 'donut' peach, and I have to admit they are quite good.  A little too sweet for me, but they look really funky on the trees.  Really easy to eat as well (or cut up for baking), with a small freestone pit.

Want to know why they are called Saturn peaches?  'Cause they have rings, like the planet.  (I was really proud of myself when I figured that one out.)
